Chouf towns
Part-time, on the road
You know your town, its shops, and who fixes what. This was going and asking them, one town at a time, whether they wanted to be listed.
Visit shops and tradespeople in person, and explain what a free listing is.
Write down the name, the trade, the town, and what they sell or do.
Get the owner’s okay before anything about them is written down as a listing.
Hand the week’s notes back so they could be added to the directory.

Data entry — directory and town pages

Typing up what the scouts brought back, and the facts about each town out of the published references, in Arabic and English.
Enter contacts into the directory data, with the trade and town on each one.
Check the Arabic and the English spelling of every trade name.
Add town history and family names from the reference books the site cites.
Flag anything that looked like the same person listed twice.

Part-time
A React app people install on their phone, a Cloudflare Worker behind it, and a set of scripts that write hundreds of static pages in two languages.
Work on the page generators and the checks that stop a bad page shipping.
Keep the Arabic side of every page a real mirror, not an afterthought.
Keep the app usable on a village connection that drops.
Small pull requests that someone else can read and review.

People write in saying what they can do. This was talking to them, and pointing them toward the trades the Chouf is actually short of.
Reply to people who sent in what they offer, and understand what they actually do.
Point them at the trades with real local demand, not the ones already crowded.
Keep the list of training centres and courses current.
Never promise anyone a placement, because there is none to promise.

Photographer — products and towns

Per day
Product photos for the shop, and honest photos of Chouf towns for their pages. Taken here, not bought from a stock library.
Shoot everyday products the way they are actually sold, so a card shows the real thing.
Photograph towns, landmarks and roads in daylight, without dressing them up.
Deliver files at the size the pages load them, not full-resolution originals.
Work by the day, in the towns being covered that week.
