A mixed Druze and Christian village benefiting from Emir Bashir the Great's canal that carries Barouk water to Beiteddine. It was declared a model town in 2001 under a UNDP programme supporting the return of the displaced. Its Saint George (Mar Girgis) feast is held on 23 April. The town is crossed by a main road that links Deir el Qamar and Beiteddine with Batloun and Barouk and forms part of a route connecting the Chouf with the Aley and Matn districts; much of the village's commerce sits along it.

A district of stone ruins and old cemeteries on what was once the inhabited core of the town, perched on the edge of a slope that overlooks the neighbouring towns in the valley below. The ruined houses show the village once sat right along this rim, and one cemetery still carries carved inscriptions. The cliff edge is unstable: each winter weathering breaks off sections of it in small landslides, a recurring hazard that leads newer houses to be built back from the receding edge.
A Druze religious sanctuary (khalwa) in the village — a quiet hermitage that serves as a spiritual site for the local Druze community. It was historically held by Sheikh Ahmad Doueik, a contemporary of Emir Bashir II and Sheikh Bashir Joumblatt. Ruins of old stone buildings stand around the sanctuary.
Local lore holds that treasure is buried in or around caves near Kfarnabrakh, though the legendary gold has never been reached — a folk tradition rather than a documented find.
