Maaser Beiteddine is a Chouf-area settlement in Mount Lebanon.
Maaser Beiteddine belonged to Emir Bashir Shihab II, who drew its abundant spring water to Beiteddine through stone conduits, later replaced with iron pipes under the mutasarrifiya. The Emir's canal, fed from the Qaa spring near the Safa river, still passes above the town's presses and waters its land. Much of the town was destroyed during the civil war and its Christian residents were displaced; the first visit by a papal envoy to the Chouf after the war, on the feast of Saint Elias, marked the confirmation of their return.
Built by Emir Bashir the Great and destroyed during the civil war; a new church under the same name has been raised in its place.
The stone water channel drawn from the Qaa spring near the Safa river, which runs above the town's presses and irrigates its land.
Remains of an old village south-east above the presses whose Aramaic-Syriac name means 'village of the rock', with sarcophagi, a deep rock-cut well and stone basins; Greek and Roman coins and black stones pointing to a kiln or charcoal works have been found there.
Ruins of an old village north of the presses; a rock-cut sarcophagus lies on the western side.
