History

Deir Dourit (Wadi Deir Dourit), with Bkerzaye, lies in the qada of Chouf. It suffered displacement during the civil war of the late 20th century and was among the villages benefiting from the return-and-compensation plan before 27 July 1998. Its antiquities are limited to sarcophagi, basins and stones of ruined buildings that have not been studied.
